Monte Monster is getting ready for his first day of school. Despite others encouraging him, Monte is very nervous and overwhelmed. The Author
Whitney ‘Whit’ grew up in a small southwestern Minnesota community, with her parents and younger brother. Whit continues to reside in the same community today with her husband, four children and numerous animals.
Children’s books with creative writing have always been something Whit has been interested in; however, it was as though fear of failure kept those ideas in her head instead of on paper for a number of year. After talking with her older son, Whit decided to pull out a 5-year-old idea and put it on paper for a second time. Of course, throughout the five years, characters and wording changed, but after a couple of weeks of pondering ideas, Monte Monster was born.
